Rob Vink drives another one of the Ginafs X2222. This yellow one was in the last rally too. Then the truck had to quit the race with problems. Hopefully they will do better this year. Nice configuration again.

This is the other service truck for Team van Deijne. The nice yellow Jumbo truck is driven by Frits van Eerd, owner of the Jumbo supermarkets. Like the trucks in his fleet this one is yellow with the big Jumbo name on it. Again a great creation.

This service truck will follow Tonnie van Deyne. It is a DAF CF. he truck is driven by Paul Verheyden. The car Tonnie drives is a Mitsubishi L200. He is a serious candidate for a top 10 classify in the South America rally.

The number one or winner of the year 1987 was the Turbo Twin II. This truck with over 1000hp, two engines and a speed of over 200kmh was the ultimate truck in the Dakar history. Jan de Rooij at that moment won the Paris to Dakar rally. Now, 21 years later the truck was showed to the people at the preproloog in Valkesnwaard. Great initiative!

DAF NAT 2800 Jan de Rooij, Son, Paris Dakar 1982, The Netherlands
This DAF NAT2800 was also on the track yesterday in Valkenswaard. In 1982 I saw this truck when it had won the Paris to Dakar rally in my home village. At that moment I already enjoyed seeing a truck like this. Now, 26 years later it is with great pleasure that I took again a picture of the truck that made me enthusiastic about the rally Le Dakar!
