An 810hp Ginaf with the strange but beautiful colors silver and gold. Absolutely an attractive truck, but very hard to photograph in action. Here is a shot I took at the preproloog. I will not think what happened if those wheels were not steered to the left already....But in my perception the photo shows the action going on in a perfect shot!

A Ginaf X2223 that used to be a very nice creature in other years is now dedicated to the leaving of Jan de Rooij. On each side of the truck an enormous tribute to Jan is printed. Now already I lovge to see the truck on television with this look. The Ginaf has 600hp and a DAF engine. The axles are from Sisu and the speed limit is 150 km/hr. Another moster, ready for the Dakar 2010 challenge!

A nice silver DAF that used to drive the Dakar before already is now owned by a new team, Afraja. Driver Van Lankveld is new in the rally. We wish him lots of success with a beauty of a DAF.

DAF CF Team Autotrack Dakar 2010
The only one DAF truck of two from Holland that will join the Argentina rally is this one. All others are Ginafs. This one is driven by Paul Verheijden and navigated by Peter van den Bosch, owner of the transportation company Van Den Bosch in Erp. As shown here the truck had a flat tyre in the final. If not they probably would have won the preproloog!
Today I talked with Peter, together with Tonny van Deyne (Mitsubishi driver in the Dakar raid). They were very enthusiastic and hoped not to crash the truck like last year anymore. Peter likes the Internet pictures of his company he said, so Peter also take a look at these ones and have a great time!

Ginaf X2222 Martien van den Brink Rallysport Dakar 2010
The Ginaf in Mamoet colors of Martien van den Brink. This truck has a great sound, lots of power and will definitely do very well in the Dakar 2010 rally in Argentina. A very nice truck, driving a little too fast for the picture ;-)
